It has been an honor to serve you as a member of the Brisbane City Council and currently as your Mayor.

For the past years eight years, my focus has been to ensure that needs of the people of Brisbane are met and values of our community are preserved. I wish to continue the important community work that is ahead of us and I am asking for your support and vote on Tuesday, November 8, 2005.

My professional qualifications include a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology. I am a Brisbane homeowner and a resident since 1987. In addition, I have lived in many countries and speak different languages. This enables me to think more globally and cross culturally. I love nature, walking, swimming, reading, cooking, traveling, sports, arts, opera, ballet, plays, concerts, movies, and spending quality time with family and friends.

I am a Businesswoman who is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Richardson Consulting Company (since 1986). Across the State, I am widely recognized for my expertise and hands-on experience in public finance, governance, reform, legislation, labor relations, governmental relations and for leading various training programs and workshops. I have written and co-authored various articles and manuals on public finance, budgeting, accounting, and industrial psychology. I have also served as an expert witness in numerous fact-finding and labor relations hearing cases.

Reflecting back on my accomplishments, I provided the leadership that resulted in achieving our long time dream of having a community pool which will soon be equipped with solar heating. Since opening in 2000, the pool has been the central gathering place for enjoying recreational activities in our community. I am very proud of this accomplishment. At the same time, working together with other Council members, we completed many projects that reflected and preserved the needs and values of our great community. To continue this important work, I am running for re-election and I ask for your vote.

We are currently faced with development choices that could have a profound impact on our community. I will continue to SUPPORT and WORK toward ensuring that any proposed development projects (Baylands, Quarry, Sierra Point, etc.) reflect the needs and values of our community and preserve our small town atmosphere.

Preservation of our small town atmosphere must be compatible with any efforts for economic development. Now, more than ever, the City Council needs experienced leaders who have earned your confidence, your trust, and have a proven track record of accomplishment.

Together we have made our community a more special place to live, work and play. Once again, I ask for your support and your precious vote to ensure that Brisbane will continue to be a jewel on the side of our mountain.
